Africa - Day 1

We have not slept in a bed since Friday night and it is now Monday. We had an amazing day today. We arrived to our most incredible accomadations at the Karen Blixen coffee garden cottages this morning. We wasted no time and off we went on our day trip. As we drove be saw baboons along the road side like you would see racoons in Vancouver. Our first stop was at the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage. There we had the opportunity to adopt 4 baby elephants. Thanks to the Costantino's for this beautiful Christmas present. Our next stop was the Giraffe Center where the giraffes were eatting out of our hands. Would you believe that we were kissed by them too?!? You have to see the picture to believe it! They are the most beautiful animal. Then we went to the Rusty Nail for lunch. Finally, we ended the day at the bead and pottery factory where many single women work to make clay beads. Throughout the day we meet many people and overall we found that the Kenyian people are very warm and friendly.
